Code of Conduct
Last updated: April 12, 2026
The Standard
DustBowl.Games runs a whitelisted community. Every player has been vetted and approved, which means we hold everyone to a higher standard than a typical public server. By joining, you agree to play fair, communicate respectfully, and help us keep this a place people actually want to spend their time.
What's Not Acceptable
The following will result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the whitelist:
- Cheating — Using hacks, exploits, aimbots, wallhacks, modded controllers with recoil scripts, or any third-party software that gives you an unfair advantage. If you have to ask whether it counts, it probably does.
- Harassment — Targeted abuse, threats, stalking, or repeated unwanted contact toward any community member. This includes in-game, voice chat, Discord, and any other platform where you interact with fellow players.
- Hate Speech — Slurs, bigotry, or discriminatory language based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or national origin. Zero tolerance, no exceptions.
- Sharing Access — Letting non-whitelisted players use your account or connection to access our servers. Your whitelist slot is yours alone.
- Impersonating Staff — Pretending to be an admin, moderator, or any DustBowl.Games staff member to mislead other players or gain privileges you don't have.
- Bad-Faith Play — Intentional team-killing, griefing, stream-sniping, or deliberately ruining the experience for others. Competitive play is encouraged; being a jerk about it is not.
- Doxxing — Sharing or threatening to share another player's real-life personal information (name, address, workplace, photos, etc.) without their explicit consent.
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies everywhere you represent or interact with the DustBowl.Games community. That includes our game servers, Discord, Steam group, TeamSpeak, and any public content (streams, videos, social media posts) where you're identifiable as a community member.
Enforcement
Violations are reviewed by the admin team on a case-by-case basis. Consequences range from a verbal warning to a permanent ban depending on severity and history. For full details on how enforcement works, see our Community Guidelines.
Reporting
If you witness or experience a violation, report it using our contact form or support ticket system at /contact. When reporting, please include:
- What happened (a clear description of the incident)
- When it happened (date, time, and server if applicable)
- Evidence (screenshots, clips, chat logs, or any other supporting material)
All reports are handled confidentially. We take every report seriously and will follow up as quickly as possible.
