Setting Up and Using txAdmin

How to complete txAdmin first-time setup and use the built-in web panel to manage your FiveM server.

FiveMtxAdminWeb PanelServer Management

Overview

txAdmin is a full-featured server management panel bundled with every modern FiveM artifact. It provides a web interface for server start/stop/restart, live console output, player management, ban enforcement, and scheduling restarts. It runs on port 40120 and is separate from your Pterodactyl/WISP panel — txAdmin manages FXServer; your hosting panel manages the container.

Accessing txAdmin for the First Time

When FXServer starts with txAdmin enabled for the first time, it prints a PIN to the server console:

[txAdmin] Use this PIN to register: 1234

Open a browser on the machine running the server (or through a port-forwarded tunnel if remote):

http://localhost:40120

If you are accessing it remotely, your hosting provider may expose port 40120 through the panel. Check your panel's port allocation page. Do not expose 40120 to the public internet without a reverse proxy and authentication layer.

First-Time Setup Wizard

Step 1 — Enter the PIN

Enter the 4-digit PIN printed in the console. This PIN expires after a short time; restart FXServer to generate a new one if it expires.

txAdmin requires a cfx.re account link to validate admin identity. Click Link Account and complete the OAuth flow.

Step 3 — Set Admin Password

After account linking, create a master admin password for the txAdmin interface. Store this securely — it is separate from your cfx.re account password.

Step 4 — Name Your Server

Enter a display name for this server instance within txAdmin. This is internal and does not affect sv_hostname.

Step 5 — Choose a Deployment Template

txAdmin offers several quickstart templates:

Template Use case
CFX Default FiveM Vanilla server; no database required
ESX ESX roleplay framework; requires MySQL
QBCore QBCore framework; requires MySQL
Custom Point to your own server.cfg

For a clean install, choose CFX Default FiveM. ESX and QBCore templates will clone the relevant repository but still require you to configure a MySQL connection string before the framework resources start successfully — see Setting Up MySQL/MariaDB for FiveM.

Managing the Server via txAdmin

Once setup is complete, the txAdmin dashboard provides:

  • Dashboard — player count, uptime, performance graph
  • Live Console — real-time server log output; supports command input
  • Player Manager — view connected players, kick, warn, or ban by identifier
  • Ban Manager — review and revoke bans; bans are stored by identifier (Steam, license, IP)
  • Resources — list running resources; restart individual resources without a full server restart
  • Scheduler — configure automatic restarts (e.g., every 6 hours)
  • Diagnostics — export a report bundle for troubleshooting

Adding Admin Accounts

Additional admins are added in Settings → Admins. You can add accounts by cfx.re username or by FiveM license identifier. Assign permission levels (Master, Manager, Helper) based on what each admin needs to do.

server.cfg Integration

txAdmin generates and manages its own config fragment. Ensure your server.cfg contains:

exec @txAdmin/txAdminServer.cfg

Do not remove this line. txAdmin writes its ban and whitelist state through this mechanism.
