Configuring Your Server with server.cfg

Overview

The server.cfg file is the central configuration file executed by SRCDS every time the map loads. It governs server identity, network rate limits, RCON passwords, voice settings, and core sandbox entity limits.

In DustBowl Warden, server.cfg is located at /home/container/garrysmod/cfg/server.cfg and can be edited in real time via the Warden File Manager or updated over SFTP (port 2022).

Managing server.cfg in DustBowl Warden

1. Navigate to DustBowl Warden (https://warden.dustbowl.games).
2. Open File Manager -> garrysmod/ -> cfg/ -> server.cfg.
3. Modify your convars and click Save Content.
4. In the Warden Console, type exec server.cfg to apply changes instantly without rebooting the server.
