How to Enable and Use KF2 WebAdmin
Enable the Killing Floor 2 WebAdmin panel by editing KFWeb.ini, set your admin password, and access the browser-based control panel at port 8080 to manage maps, players, and settings.
Killing Floor 2 WebAdmin Panel
KF2's WebAdmin is a browser-based administration panel that lets you manage the server without touching the console — change maps, kick/ban players, adjust settings, and monitor the game state in real time.
Step 1 — Enable WebAdmin
Edit KFGame/Config/KFWeb.ini:
[IpDrv.WebServer]
bEnabled=true
ListenPort=8080
bShouldLogAccess=false
- Set
bEnabled=true ListenPortdefaults to 8080 — change it if you need to run multiple servers on the same machine- Restart the server after editing
Step 2 — Set the Admin Password
The WebAdmin password is the same as AdminPassword in LinuxServer-KFGame.ini:
[Engine.AccessControl]
AdminPassword=YourSecurePasswordHere
Make sure you've set a strong password before exposing WebAdmin to the internet.
Step 3 — Open the Firewall Port
If you haven't already, allow TCP port 8080:
sudo ufw allow 8080/tcp
Step 4 — Access WebAdmin
Open a browser and navigate to:
http://YOUR_SERVER_IP:8080
Log in with:
- Username:
admin - Password: whatever you set as
AdminPassword
What You Can Do in WebAdmin
Current Game tab:
- View the current map, game mode, player list, wave number
- Kick or ban individual players (by SteamID or session)
- Change the map immediately
Change Map tab:
- Select any map from your server's map list
- Choose a game mode and start the vote/change
Administration tab:
- Edit banned players list
- Manage admin accounts (add additional admin users)
- View the server log in real time
Adding Extra Admin Accounts
In WebAdmin → Administration → Administrators, you can create additional admin logins. This lets moderators log in without knowing the full AdminPassword.
You can also grant in-game admin access by adding Steam IDs to the admins list in LinuxServer-KFGame.ini:
[Engine.AccessControl]
AdminPassword=YourPassword
[KFGame.KFGameInfo]
; (these are set per-user via WebAdmin Administrators tab)
Security Notes
- WebAdmin has no HTTPS — don't log in over untrusted networks
- Use a strong, unique
AdminPassword(not the same as your server password) - Consider restricting port 8080 by IP using your firewall if the server is public:
# Allow WebAdmin only from your IP
sudo ufw allow from YOUR_ADMIN_IP to any port 8080 proto tcp
sudo ufw deny 8080/tcp
