Post Scriptum / Squad 44 Map Rotation
Configure the Post Scriptum (Squad 44) map rotation in MapRotation.cfg. Covers layer name format, faction pairing syntax, WW2 theater-based layer examples, and random rotation vs fixed order.
Post Scriptum / Squad 44 Map Rotation
Map rotation is configured in:
PostScriptum/ServerConfig/MapRotation.cfg
Post Scriptum (Squad 44) follows the same layer naming and rotation syntax as Squad, using real WW2 theaters and historical factions.
MapRotation.cfg Format
Each line defines one map layer. The server cycles through layers in the order listed:
Layer=Carentan_AAS_v1
Layer=Eindhoven_AAS_v1
Layer=Driel_Skirmish_v1
Layer=Carpiquet_AAS_v2
The rotation loops back to the top after the last entry.
Layer Naming Convention
Layer names follow the pattern:
<MapName>_<GameMode>_v<Version>
Game Modes:
| Code | Mode |
|---|---|
AAS |
Advance and Secure (standard) |
RAAS |
Random Advance and Secure |
Invasion |
Attackers vs Defenders (one-sided) |
Skirmish |
Smaller, faster matches |

Example Map Layers
Post Scriptum features WW2 Western Europe maps. Common layers include:
# Normandy
Layer=Carentan_AAS_v1
Layer=Carentan_AAS_v2
Layer=SaintMereEglise_AAS_v1
Layer=SteenbeekCrossroads_Invasion_v1
# Operation Market Garden
Layer=Eindhoven_AAS_v1
Layer=Driel_AAS_v1
Layer=Veghel_AAS_v1
# Belgian Ardennes
Layer=Bourcy_AAS_v1
Layer=Recogne_AAS_v1
# Skirmish (smaller player counts)
Layer=Carentan_Skirmish_v1
Layer=Eindhoven_Skirmish_v1
Layer names change with game updates. Refer to the official Squad 44 server documentation or the game's Unreal content for the current layer list.
Random Layer Selection (RAAS)
RAAS layers randomly shuffle capture-point routes each round, increasing replayability on the same map:
Layer=Carentan_RAAS_v1
Layer=Eindhoven_RAAS_v1
All-Skirmish Rotation (Small Servers)
For servers with fewer than 40 players, a skirmish-only rotation prevents matches from feeling underpopulated:
Layer=Carentan_Skirmish_v1
Layer=Driel_Skirmish_v1
Layer=Eindhoven_Skirmish_v1
Layer=Veghel_Skirmish_v1
Applying Changes
The map rotation is read at the end of each round. You can edit MapRotation.cfg while the server is running — changes take effect at the next map transition.
To change the map immediately, use an admin RCON command:
