Ban Storage Files
Bans are stored in:
~/.config/SCP Secret Laboratory/config/[PORT]/
UserIdBans.txt ← SteamID-based bans
IpBans.txt ← IP address bans
Each file lists one ban per line in a structured format. You can manually edit these files while the server is stopped.
Removing Bans
Via RA Panel:
unban [SteamID]
Manually: Stop the server, edit UserIdBans.txt or IpBans.txt, remove the relevant line, and restart.
Kicks (No Ban Record)
kick [SteamID or PlayerName] [reason]
Kicks remove the player from the current session without creating a ban record.
Mutes
Prevent a player from using in-game voice chat:
mute [SteamID or PlayerName]
unmute [SteamID or PlayerName]
Warnings
Warnings are logged and visible to other admins in the RA panel:
warn [SteamID or PlayerName] [reason]
Viewing Logs
Admin actions are logged in the server console and EXILED (if installed) can provide extended logging. View logs via:
# If running as systemd service
sudo journalctl -u scpsl -n 200
# LocalAdmin terminal shows a live log while running
Whitelist Mode
To prevent all unwhitelisted players from joining:
# config_gameplay.txt
enable_white_list: true
Add allowed SteamID64s to:
~/.config/SCP Secret Laboratory/config/[PORT]/white_list.txt
One SteamID64 per line. Restart the server after changes.
