SCP: Secret Laboratory Server Port Forwarding

SCP:SL uses a single UDP port (7777 by default) for all game traffic. Covers UFW, firewalld, iptables, router NAT, and running multiple server instances on different ports.

SCP: Secret Laboratory Port Forwarding

SCP:SL uses a single UDP port for all game traffic — no TCP required.

Required Port

Port Protocol Purpose
7777 UDP All game traffic — mandatory

The port is set by the argument passed to LocalAdmin at launch:

./LocalAdmin 7777

UFW (Ubuntu/Debian)

sudo ufw allow 7777/udp
sudo ufw reload
sudo ufw status

firewalld (RHEL/CentOS/Fedora)

sudo firewall-cmd --permanent --add-port=7777/udp
sudo firewall-cmd --reload

iptables

sudo iptables -A INPUT -p udp --dport 7777 -j ACCEPT
sudo iptables-save > /etc/iptables/rules.v4

Router / NAT Port Forwarding

If hosting on a home network, create a UDP port forward in your router's admin panel:

External Port Internal Port Protocol Device IP
7777 7777 UDP 192.168.x.x

Running Multiple Server Instances

Each server instance runs on its own port. Launch multiple instances with different port numbers:

./LocalAdmin 7777 # Instance 1 — configs in ~/.config/SCP Secret Laboratory/config/7777/
./LocalAdmin 7778 # Instance 2 — configs in ~/.config/SCP Secret Laboratory/config/7778/
./LocalAdmin 7779 # Instance 3 — configs in ~/.config/SCP Secret Laboratory/config/7779/

Each port gets its own independent config directory. Open all used ports in your firewall.

Verifying the Port is Open

From an external machine (not the server):

nc -zvu YOUR_SERVER_IP 7777

Or use an online UDP port checker tool with your server's IP and port 7777.
