SCUM Admin Management

SCUM uses two separate admin files: AdminUsers.ini for command permissions (including permission tiers) and ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini for in-game admin menu access. This guide covers both.

SCUM Admin Management

SCUM separates admin access into two files. Understanding which file does what prevents confusion when granting permissions.

File Purpose
AdminUsers.ini Grants RCON command access and optional permission tiers
ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini Grants access to the in-game admin menu (F1 panel)

Both files are located in:

SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\

Finding a Player's Steam64 ID

  1. Open your Steam profile in a browser.
  2. Right-click anywhere on the page → View Page Source.
  3. Search for steamid — you'll see a number like 76561198012345678.

Alternatively use steamid.io and paste the player's profile URL.

AdminUsers.ini — Command Permissions

Each line is one Steam64 ID:

76561198012345678
76561198087654321

Optional permission tiers — add one or more permission flags in square brackets after the Steam64 ID:

76561198012345678 [SpawnVehicle,TeleportToMe,BanPlayer,KickPlayer]
76561198087654321 [KickPlayer,MutePlayer]

Common permission flags:

Flag Access Granted
SpawnVehicle Spawn vehicles via admin commands
TeleportToMe Teleport players to your location
TeleportToPlayer Teleport to a player's location
BanPlayer Permanently ban players
KickPlayer Kick players from the server
MutePlayer Mute players in VOIP
GodMode Enable invulnerability for yourself
SpawnItem Spawn items
SetTime Change server time

If you omit brackets entirely, the admin receives all permissions.

ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini — In-Game Admin Menu

This file controls who can open the in-game admin menu (pressed with F1 by default). Each line is a plain Steam64 ID with no brackets:

76561198012345678
76561198087654321

Players listed here can open the admin panel to teleport, ban, kick, and monitor players in real time without using RCON.

Common Workflow

For full admins, add the Steam64 ID to both files. For moderators who only need the in-game panel, add them only to ServerSettingsAdminUsers.ini.

After editing either file:

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Edit the file and save.
  3. Restart the server.

In-Game Admin Commands

Once listed in AdminUsers.ini, open the SCUM console (typically ~ key) and prefix commands with #:

#Kick <SteamID or name>
#Ban <SteamID> <duration in days> <reason>
#TeleportToPlayer <SteamID>
#GiveItem <SteamID> <item_class> <amount>
#SetTime <hour>

Type #help in the console to list all available commands on your server.
