Server Won't Start
If your server isn't starting, work through these steps:
1. Check the Console Log
Go to your AMP panel → Console tab. Look for red error messages. Common errors:
- "Port already in use" — Another instance is using the same port. Stop it first or change ports.
- "Out of memory" — Your server is running out of RAM. Consider upgrading your plan or reducing settings.
- "File not found" — A required file was deleted or moved. Try reinstalling/updating the server.
- "Version mismatch" — Your mods/plugins are incompatible with the server version.
2. Check Mod Compatibility
If you recently installed a mod:
- Remove the mod
- Try starting the server
- If it starts, the mod was the issue — check for an updated version
3. Verify Server Files
In AMP, look for an Update or Verify/Repair option. This re-downloads any missing or corrupted files.
4. Check Resource Usage
If your server is hitting memory or CPU limits, it may be killed by the system:
- Check your usage graphs in AMP
- Lower player counts or view distances
- Consider upgrading to a higher plan
5. Still Stuck?
- Join our Discord and open a support ticket
- Include your server's console log — it helps us diagnose the issue faster
