Trackmania Server Admin Tools

Trackmania servers expose an XMLRPC interface on port 5000. Admin controllers connect to this interface to provide in-game admin commands, chat bots, records databases, vote management, and plugins.

The correct controller depends on your game generation:

XASECO — for TMNF / TMUF

XASECO is the classic PHP + MySQL controller for Trackmania Nations Forever and United Forever.

Requirements: PHP 5.3+, MySQL 5+

Setup:

1. Download XASECO from https://www.gamers.org/tmf/xaseco2/
2. Extract alongside or separate from the server files.
3. Edit config.xml:

4. Set up the MySQL database and run the schema.
5. Start: php aseco.php

Key features: Local records, Dedimania online records (via plugin), chat commands, map voting, player stats.

PyPlanet — for ManiaPlanet / TM2 / TM2020

PyPlanet is a modern Python 3 controller that supports ManiaPlanet (TM2, SM) and Trackmania 2020. It does not support the older TMNF/TMUF unscripted modes.

Requirements: Python 3.6–3.10, MySQL or PostgreSQL

Quick install:

pip install pyplanet
pyplanet init_project MyServerProject
cd MyServerProject

Edit settings/base.py:

Key features: Plugin system, local records, MX (ManiaExchange) integration, map queue, voting, Discord webhooks.

EvoSC# — for Trackmania 2020

EvoSC# is a C# controller specifically designed for the Trackmania 2020 dedicated server.

Requirements: .NET 8+

Quick start:

dotnet tool install -g EvoSC.CLI
evosc new MyServer
cd MyServer

Edit appsettings.json with your server's XMLRPC credentials, then:

evosc start

Key features: Module system (C# plugins), live map list management, player records, ManiaExchange integration.

XMLRPC Security Reminder

All controllers connect to port 5000 using the SuperAdmin password from dedicated_cfg.txt. Keep this port firewalled from public internet access — there is no encryption or TLS on the XMLRPC connection. Only allow connections from localhost (or a trusted controller IP).
