Understanding Your Server Panel (AMP)
Learn how to navigate the AMP control panel — start/stop servers, access the console, manage files, and configure settings.
AMP Control Panel Overview
AMP (Application Management Panel) by CubeCoders is the primary panel we use at DustBowl.Games. Here's a tour of the key features.
Dashboard
When you log in, you'll see your server instances listed. Each shows:
- Status — Running, Stopped, or Updating
- CPU / Memory usage — Real-time resource monitoring
- Player count — How many players are connected
Console
The console tab gives you direct access to your server's command line. You can:
- Send commands to your game server
- View real-time server logs
- Monitor startup and error messages
File Manager
Browse, upload, download, and edit your server files directly in the browser. This is useful for:
- Editing config files (e.g.,
server.cfg,server.properties) - Uploading custom maps or mods
- Downloading backups
Configuration
AMP provides a user-friendly settings page for common server options so you don't have to hand-edit config files. Options vary by game but typically include:
- Server name and description
- Max players
- Game mode and map rotation
- RCON password
- Network port settings
Scheduling
Set up automated tasks like:
- Automatic restarts — Restart your server daily at off-peak hours
- Backup schedules — Automatic world/config backups
- Update checks — Keep your server on the latest version
User Management
Add other users to your server with granular permissions. Great for giving your admins access without sharing your master credentials.
