Understanding Your WISP Panel (Pterodactyl)

Learn how to navigate the WISP control panel — server management, file access, console, scheduling, and Docker-based isolation.

WISP Panel Overview

WISP is our secondary game server management panel, built on the Pterodactyl ecosystem. It uses Docker containers to isolate each server, giving you a secure and resource-controlled environment.

Dashboard

When you log in, you'll see all your servers listed with:

  • Status — Running, Stopped, Starting, or Error
  • CPU / Memory / Disk usage — Real-time resource meters
  • Server address — IP and port for connecting

Console

The console tab provides:

  • Real-time server output and logs
  • Command input for sending server commands
  • Start, stop, restart, and kill controls
  • Color-coded output for easy reading

File Manager

WISP includes a full web-based file manager:

  • Browse your server's file structure
  • Create, edit, rename, and delete files
  • Upload files via drag-and-drop
  • Download files or entire directories
  • Syntax highlighting for config file editing

Schedules

Automate recurring tasks:

  • Automatic restarts — Keep your server fresh
  • Backup creation — Protect your data
  • Command execution — Run any command on a schedule
  • Power actions — Start, stop, or restart at set times

Databases

If your game requires a database (e.g., MySQL for certain plugins):

  1. Go to the Databases tab
  2. Click Create Database
  3. WISP provisions a database automatically
  4. Connection details are displayed for your server config

Backups

WISP has built-in backup support:

  • Create manual backups with one click
  • Set a backup limit based on your plan
  • Download or restore from any backup
  • Backups include all server files

Users & Subusers

Share access without sharing your account:

  1. Go to Users tab
  2. Add a subuser by email
  3. Select granular permissions (console, files, backups, etc.)
  4. They'll receive an invite to create their own login

Key Differences from AMP

Feature WISP AMP
Isolation Docker containers Process-level
Game support Via community eggs Built-in library
Custom games Add any Pterodactyl egg Requires AMP module
Resource limits Hard limits per container Configurable
Panel UI Web-based, modern Web-based, feature-rich

Both panels are excellent — WISP gives us the flexibility to run games that aren't natively supported in AMP by leveraging the massive Pterodactyl community egg ecosystem.
