How ARK Imprinting Works
Cuddle interval: The base interval is 8 hours (28,800 s), scaled by
BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier. Lower values = more frequent cuddles.
Imprint % per cuddle: Calculated from maturation time and cuddle interval.
Formula: V = IAM / (TMT / (MSP × CIM × 28800) − 0.25) where TMT = official mature time in seconds,
MSP = BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier, CIM = BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier, IAM = BabyImprintAmountMultiplier.
Care types: Each cuddle window randomly asks for a cuddle, walk, or food. You cannot predict which — always be prepared for all three.
Missing a window: If you miss a cuddle, that imprint % is lost permanently. The schedule continues regardless, but your max achievable imprint is reduced.
