Craft your ARK server's Message of the Day with RichColor tags, live preview, and ready-made templates. Outputs both the GameUserSettings.ini block and the SetMessageOfTheDay RCON command for live updates without a restart.

Quick Templates

Message Editor

Message text — use \n for line breaks, <RichColor Color="r,g,b,a">text</> for color

Maps to Message= in [MessageOfTheDay]. Use \n for new lines.

Display Duration 20 seconds

Maps to Duration= — how long the MOTD overlay stays visible (default 20 s).

RichColor Tag Builder — pick a color, then insert

RGBA floats 0.0–1.0. Alpha 1.0 = fully opaque.

Add or replace the [MessageOfTheDay] section in GameUserSettings.ini. Restart the server to apply.

RCON Command — live update, no restart needed

SetMessageOfTheDay Welcome to the server!

Run via any RCON client (RCON.NET, Battlemetrics, etc.). Updates the MOTD for all players immediately — no server restart required.

Tags can be nested. Unclosed tags default back to white.
