Arma 3 Mod Preset Builder

Create an Arma 3 Launcher .html preset file for your unit. Add Workshop mods by ID, name your preset, then download the file — players import it directly in the Launcher so everyone runs the exact same modset.

Preset Name

This name appears inside the Launcher when players import the preset. The downloaded file will be named preset.html.

Fix these issues before downloading:

  • Preset name is required.
  • Add at least one mod.

Generated Preset File

<!-- Add a preset name and at least one valid mod to see the output. -->

Add a preset name and at least one mod with a Workshop ID to enable download.

How Players Import the Preset

  1. 1

    Open the Arma 3 Launcher and click the Mods tab.

  2. 2

    Click the Preset dropdown at the top right, then choose Import.

  3. 3

    Select the .html file you downloaded. The Launcher reads the preset and subscribes to any missing Workshop mods automatically.

  4. 4

    Wait for Steam to download any missing mods, then launch the game. Everyone in the unit will be running the same modset.

Preset File Format

The Arma 3 Launcher expects a standard HTML file with specific data-type attributes. Each mod is a table row:

<tr data-type="ModContainer">
  <td data-type="DisplayName">CBA_A3</td>
  <td><a href="https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=450814997"
         data-type="Link">Steam</a></td>
</tr>

The Workshop ID in the URL is all the Launcher needs to find and subscribe to the correct mod. The display name is cosmetic.
