Barotrauma Admin Console Command Reference

enablecheats disables achievements

Commands marked Cheat require running enablecheats first. Once enabled, Steam achievements are disabled for that session. Standard admin commands (Player, Permissions, Round) work without enabling cheats and do not affect achievements.

`kick`	`kick [name]`	Kick a player by name. Partial names are matched.	Admin
`ban`	`ban [name] [reason]`	Kick and ban a player. Optionally specify a reason shown to the player.	Admin
`banid`	`banid [steamid]`	Ban a player by their Steam ID. Useful when the player is not currently connected.	Admin
`unban`	`unban [name]`	Remove a ban by player name.	Admin
`mute`	`mute [name]`	Mute a player so their voice/text chat is hidden from others.	Admin
`unmute`	`unmute [name]`	Unmute a previously muted player.	Admin
`clientlist`	`clientlist`	Print a list of all connected clients with their IDs and Steam IDs.	Admin
`traitorlist`	`traitorlist`	Show which players have been assigned traitor roles in the current round.	Admin
`giveperm`	`giveperm [id] [perm]`	Grant a permission to a client by their ID. Use clientlist to find IDs. Perms: all, kick, ban, endround, etc.	Admin
`revokeperm`	`revokeperm [id] [perm]`	Remove a specific permission from a client.	Admin
`givecommandperm`	`givecommandperm [id] [cmd]`	Allow a client to run a specific console command by name.	Admin
`revokecommandperm`	`revokecommandperm [id] [cmd]`	Remove a client's permission to run a specific console command.	Admin
`showperm`	`showperm [id]`	Show all permissions currently held by a client.	Admin
`startround`	`startround`	Force-start the current round immediately.	Admin
`endround`	`endround`	End the current round and return to the lobby.	Admin
`autorestart`	`autorestart [true/false]`	Enable or disable automatic round restart after round end.	Admin
`difficulty`	`difficulty [0-100]`	Set the overall difficulty level mid-round. 0 = easiest, 100 = hardest.	Admin
`money`	`money [amount] [character]`	Add the specified amount of marks to a character's wallet. Omit character for self.	Cheat
`giveexperience`	`giveexperience [amount] [character]`	Grant experience points to a character. Omit character for self.	Cheat
`setskill`	`setskill [skill] [level] [character]`	Set a specific skill (e.g. medical, weapons) to the given level for a character.	Cheat
`givetalent`	`givetalent [talent] [character]`	Unlock a talent by internal name for a character.	Cheat
`heal`	`heal [character]`	Fully heal a character's health and remove all afflictions.	Cheat
`revive`	`revive [character]`	Revive a dead or incapacitated character.	Cheat
`kill`	`kill [character]`	Instantly kill a character.	Cheat
`godmode`	`godmode [character]`	Toggle godmode for a character — prevents all damage.	Cheat
`setkarma`	`setkarma [value] [character]`	Set a character's karma to the specified value (0-100).	Admin
`showkarma`	`showkarma`	Print the current karma values of all connected clients to the console.	Admin
`spawn`	`spawn [creature/bot] [count]`	Spawn a creature or bot by internal name. Omit count to spawn one.	Cheat
`spawnitem`	`spawnitem [item] [count]`	Spawn an item by internal name at your cursor position.	Cheat
`fixhulls`	`fixhulls`	Repair all hull breaches (holes) in the submarine instantly.	Cheat
`oxygen`	`oxygen [0-100]`	Set the oxygen level in all hulls of the submarine to the specified percentage.	Cheat
`say`	`say [message]`	Broadcast a message to all players in the server chat as the server.	Admin
`servermsg`	`servermsg [message]`	Display a server-side notification message on screen for all connected players.	Admin

Quick Reference Notes

Opening the Console

Press F3 in-game to open the console. You must be the host, or have been granted admin permissions via the Multiplayer tab in the server settings, to run most commands.

Cheat commands additionally require typing enablecheats before they will work. This flag resets each round.

Permission Levels

Admin — granted in server settings; runs all standard commands
Cheat — requires enablecheats; disables achievements
Console — available to server host via dedicated console (not in-game)

Use giveperm [clientid] all to grant a player full permissions in-session.
