CS 1.6 AMXX Admin Command Reference
Every AMX Mod X admin command for Counter-Strike 1.6 — with syntax, required access flag, and usage notes. Use the flag decoder to see exactly what permissions a flag string grants.
Player Management
amx_kick "player" [reason]
flag aKick a player from the server.
Player name can be partial — AMXX matches the closest name.
amx_ban "player" minutes [reason]
flag bBan a player by name for the specified number of minutes. Use 0 for permanent.
Stores ban in addons/amxmodx/configs/amxbans.cfg by default.
amx_addban steamid minutes [reason]
flag bAdd a ban directly by Steam ID without the player being online.
Format: STEAM_0:0:XXXXXXXX
amx_unban steamid
flag bRemove a ban by Steam ID.
amx_slay "player"
flag cInstantly kill a player.
amx_slap "player" [damage]
flag cSlap a player, optionally dealing damage. Default damage is 0.
Repeatedly slapping can be used as a non-lethal warning.
amx_noclip "player"
flag kToggle noclip (fly through walls) for a player.
Requires the noclip plugin to be loaded.
Map Control
amx_map "mapname"
flag dImmediately change the map to the specified map name.
Map must exist in the maps folder. Do not include .bsp extension.
amx_votemap map1 [map2] [map3] [map4]
flag hStart a map vote with up to four options for players to choose from.
Server / CVars
amx_cvar cvar [value]
flag eGet or set a server cvar. Omit value to read the current value.
Example: amx_cvar sv_gravity 400
amx_cfg "filename"
flag fExecute a server config file from the cstrike/cfg directory.
Do not include the .cfg extension.
amx_rcon "command"
flag lExecute an RCON command as if typed in the server console.
Chat / Voting
amx_say message
flag gSend a message to all players as [ADMIN] in chat.
amx_psay "player" message
flag gSend a private message to a specific player.
Only the target player sees the message.
amx_csay message
flag gDisplay a centered HUD message to all players.
amx_tsay [color] message
flag gDisplay a message on the left side of the HUD for all players.
Colors: red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, magenta, white.
amx_cancelvote
flag hCancel any in-progress vote immediately.
amx_votekick "player"
flag hStart a public vote to kick the specified player.
Information
amx_who
flag List all admins currently connected to the server with their access flags.
No flag required — any admin can use this.
amx_plugins
flag List all currently loaded AMXX plugins, their versions, and status.
amx_modules
flag List all loaded AMXX modules.
Player Actions
amx_pause "player"
flag cFreeze a player in place (pause their movement).
amx_teleport "player"
flag cTeleport a player to your current position.
amx_gag "player"
flag gMute a player — prevents them from using voice or text chat.
amx_ungag "player"
flag gRemove a chat/voice mute from a player.

Quick Start Notes
- Admin accounts are defined in
addons/amxmodx/configs/users.ini. - Each admin entry specifies a Steam ID (or password), flags, and access level.
- Flag
zgrants all access — use only for trusted super-admins. - Commands run from the server console don't require flags — they bypass auth.
