How BattlEye GUIDs Work

BattlEye GUIDs are derived from the player's SteamID64 using a one-way MD5 hash. The formula is:

  1. Take the SteamID64 as a 64-bit integer
  2. Convert it to 8 bytes in little-endian order
  3. Prepend the ASCII bytes for BE (0x42, 0x45)
  4. Compute the MD5 hash of the resulting 10-byte array
  5. The 32-character lowercase hex string is the BattlEye GUID
BattlEye GUIDs are one-way MD5 hashes — they cannot be reversed to a SteamID64.
