DayZ Loot Tier Zone Reference
DayZ divides each map into loot tiers — higher numbers mean better military gear but also more danger. Select a map to see each tier's gear quality, named locations, and what to expect.
The original 225 km² map. Loot tiers radiate from the coast (T1) to the northwest military complexes (T4). Most populated server map.
Coastal Survival Zone
Southern Coast & Small Villages
Starter zone with basic civilian loot. Good for food, basic tools, and getting oriented. Low risk but also low reward — don't linger.

Loot Progression Tips
New spawn (Tier 1-2)
Prioritize food/water. Grab any firearm even if low-tier. Move inland quickly — coastal towns compete with fresh spawns.
Mid game (Tier 2-3)
Clear military outposts and barracks. Watch for players. Stock up on crafting materials before pushing to Tier 4.
End game (Tier 4+)
Use gas masks near toxic zones. Travel in groups if possible. Crash sites and Tisy/Kamensk hold the best gear.
