Server-side UseItem Boilerplate for useable items

-- Place this in a server-side script in your resource
-- (e.g. server/main.lua). Runs once when the resource starts.

local QBCore = exports['qb-core']:GetCoreObject()

-- No useable items defined yet.

Place this in a server-side script in your resource. Register each useable item once on resource start. Replace the -- your logic here comment with your item's actual server logic.

About QBCore items & where to paste

Open qb-core/shared/items.lua and find the QBShared.Items table (it starts with QBShared.Items = {). Paste your new definitions before the closing }.

unique — when true, each item instance carries its own metadata. Use for documents, IDs, anything with per-instance data.

useable — when true, the item appears in the "Use" context menu. You must still register the use callback with QBCore.Functions.CreateUseableItem in a server script.

shouldClose — closes the QB inventory UI when the item is used. Recommended for most interactive items.

combinable — set to a table describing the combination recipe, or nil to disable. This builder outputs nil as a placeholder.

decay — set to a number (seconds) for the item to degrade, or false to disable. This builder outputs false as a placeholder.

Item images go in qb-inventory/html/images/ (or qb-core/html/images/ depending on your QB version). The filename must match the image field exactly.
