========================================
          SERVER RULES
========================================

1. RDM (Random Deathmatch) — You must have valid, communicated in-character reasoning before engaging in lethal force. Random killing without prior initiation is a bannable offense.
2. VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch) — Using a vehicle as a weapon to injure or kill another player without roleplay basis is prohibited. Exception: active escape scenarios where no other option exists.
3. NVL / Fear RP — Your character must value their life. If outnumbered or held at gunpoint with no clear escape route, comply. Ignoring credible lethal threats breaks immersion and violates this rule.
4. Metagaming — Using out-of-character information obtained via Discord, Twitch streams, or other external channels in RP is strictly prohibited. If you are streaming, keep a sufficient stream delay. Communicating over Discord voice during active RP while claiming ignorance is also metagaming.
5. NLR (New Life Rule) — Upon death you forget all events leading to your death. You may not return to your death location for 30 minutes and may not seek revenge on players who killed your previous life.
6. Combat Logging — Disconnecting during or within 10 minutes of active roleplay or combat is prohibited. If you crash, reconnect immediately and re-engage the situation.
7. Powergaming — Do not force actions on other players, perform physically impossible feats without consent, or use game mechanics to gain an unrealistic advantage over another player's RP.
8. Green Zones — The following areas are safe zones where no hostile action, robbery, or kidnapping may be initiated: Sandy Shores Medical Center / Hospital, LSPD Mission Row lobby, Spawn area / character select. Ongoing pursuits must be disengaged upon entering a green zone.
9. Hostile Group Size — A maximum of 6 players may be involved on one side of any hostile scenario (robbery, gang conflict, etc.). This includes backup called after initiation has begun.
10. Gang War Declaration — Sustained gang conflict requires a formal declaration through in-character channels with at least 24 hours of prior notice. Random drive-bys without declaration are treated as RDM.
11. Restart Window — Do not initiate new hostile roleplay within 15 minutes of a scheduled server restart. Wrap up active scenarios before the restart countdown begins.
12. Staff & Administration — Staff decisions are final in the moment. Disputes must be raised through the proper ban appeal or complaint process — not argued in game or public channels. Logging off to avoid staff interaction is treated as an admission of guilt.
