Structural Integrity Reference
Icarus uses a structural integrity system. Tall unsupported walls will collapse. Place foundations every 3–4 wall pieces horizontally to maintain stability.

| Thatch | ~2 walls | Very low structural rating; only suitable for temporary shelter. |
| Wood | ~3 walls | Suitable for early bases; collapses quickly without foundation support. |
| Stone | ~4 walls | Good mid-game option; place foundations every 3–4 horizontal pieces. |
| Concrete | 6+ walls | Strong structural rating; good for multi-story permanent bases with proper foundations. |
| Aluminum / Composite | 6+ walls | Highest-tier structural strength; requires Fabricator and advanced materials. |
