IW4MAdmin Config Generator

Generate a valid appsettings.json for IW4MAdmin — the most popular admin manager for IW4x (CoD4 MW private servers) and other legacy CoD titles. Fill in the form and copy or download the finished JSON.

Place appsettings.json in the same folder as the IW4MAdmin executable and restart the service to apply changes.

1. General Settings web front · database · API

Server Name

Displayed in the IW4MAdmin web dashboard title.

Web Frontend Port

Default: 1624. Visit http://yourip:1624

Enable Web Frontend

Master API URI

Used to report server stats to the IW4MAdmin master. Leave default unless self-hosting the API.

Database Provider

SQLite is the easiest option for single-host setups.

Relative to the IW4MAdmin executable folder.

3. Permission Auto-Promote Thresholds connections to promote

Set the number of total connections required for automatic promotion to each level. Owner must always be manually assigned and is not auto-promoted.

Tip: Owner is always level 8 in IW4MAdmin and must be assigned via !setlevel <player> owner in-game.

4. Chat & Command Settings prefix · logging · auto-messages

Command Prefix

Players type this before commands (e.g. !help).

Auto-Message Interval (seconds)

How often auto-messages cycle. Default 60s.

Where to place this file:
Same directory as IW4MAdmin.dll / IW4MAdmin.exe.
Restart IW4MAdmin after saving for changes to take effect.
