How Spawn Protection Works
- → Non-operator players cannot break or place blocks inside the protected zone.
- → Operators (permission level 2+) are not affected and can build normally.
- →
Set
spawnprotection=0to disable protection entirely. - → The protected area is always a square (not a circle) — Minecraft uses Chebyshev distance.
- → Vanilla default spawn range is roughly ±5 blocks from origin — a value of 16 fully covers it.
