Minecraft SRV Record Generator
Let players join your server with just play.yourdomain.com — no port required. Generate the DNS records and paste them into your DNS provider.
How SRV records work
SRV (Service) records are DNS records that map a service/protocol pair to a hostname + port. Minecraft Java Edition queries _minecraft._tcp.<domain> before connecting, and uses the returned target + port if found.
If no SRV record exists, Minecraft falls back to the default port 25565 and tries to resolve the domain as an A record.
Bedrock Edition does not support SRV records — Bedrock players need to enter the port manually if it's not the default (19132).
Priority and Weight only matter if you have multiple SRV records for failover. For a single server, 0 and 5 are conventional defaults.
