Minecraft UUID Lookup
Enter a Minecraft Java username or UUID to look up the other. Uses the official Mojang API.
How it works
This tool queries the official Mojang API endpoint
api.mojang.com/users/profiles/minecraft/{username}
to resolve a Minecraft Java username to its UUID. No authentication is required — it's a public endpoint.
If you enter a UUID instead, we hit
sessionserver.mojang.com/session/minecraft/profile/{uuid}
to fetch the current username.
Minecraft UUIDs are 128-bit identifiers, typically shown in two formats: undashed (32 hex characters, used internally by many server plugins) and dashed (standard 8-4-4-4-12 layout, used in most configs and bans files). Both represent the exact same value.
Skin renders are served by Crafatar, a free third-party service that caches Mojang's skin textures.
