PZ Admin Command Reference

Every Project Zomboid server admin command in one place. Search by name, filter by category, and see exactly what access level each command requires.

Access Level Hierarchy (highest to lowest)

Admin > Moderator > Overseer > GM > Observer

Higher-level roles inherit all permissions of roles below them. Admins can do everything.

Command Level
/players

List all connected players.

 Observer+
/kickuser "name" [-r "reason"]

Kick a player from the server.

 Moderator+
/banuser "name" [-ip] [-r "reason"]

Ban a player by name. Add -ip to also ban their IP.

/banid [steamid64]

Ban a player by their SteamID64.

 Moderator+
/unbanid [steamid64]

Unban a player by SteamID64.

 Moderator+
/setaccesslevel "name" [level]

Set a player's role: admin, moderator, overseer, gm, observer, or none.

/grantadmin "name"

Quick shortcut to grant admin access to a player.

/removeadmin "name"

Remove admin access from a player.

/teleport "player1"

Teleport yourself to another player.

 GM+
/teleport "player1" "player2"

Teleport player1 to player2's location.

/teleportto x,y,z

Teleport yourself to specific world coordinates.

/godmode "name"

Toggle god mode (invincibility) for a player.

 GM+
/invisible "name"

Toggle invisibility for a player.

 Observer+
/noclip "name"

Toggle noclip (no collision) for a player.

 GM+
/voiceban "name"

Mute a player's voice chat.

 Moderator+
/additem "name" "Module.Item" [count]

Give a player an item from the game's item database.

 GM+
/addvehicle "vehicletype"

Spawn a vehicle at your location.

/addxp "name" "Perk=amount"

Add skill XP to a player. Example: Perk=Woodwork=100

/chopper

Trigger a helicopter flyover event.

/gunshot

Trigger a gunshot sound event nearby.

/alarm

Trigger a house alarm event.

/createhorde [count]

Spawn a horde of zombies at your location.

/removezombies

Remove all zombies in the game world.

/startrain

Start rain weather.

/stoprain

Stop rain weather.

/servermsg "message"

Broadcast a message to all players.

/save

Force an immediate world save.

/quit

Shut down the server.

Reload server options without restarting.

Change a server setting live without restart.

Reload a Lua file without server restart.

Display the current server log output.

Create a new whitelisted user account.

Add an existing player to the server whitelist.
