# This Server — Server Rules

Server type: Light RP
Contact: an admin for questions or reports.

## Combat Rules
- All hostile action must be preceded by **30 seconds** of VOIP or in-game text RP.
- You must give the other party a reasonable chance to respond before opening fire.

## Safehouse & Raiding
- Claimed safehouses are protected — no trespassing without RP justification.
- Raiding is permitted with prior RP declaration (faction war, revenge RP, etc.).
- Do not grief or destroy neighbor builds for no reason.

## Metagaming
- Metagaming means using out-of-character (OOC) information as if your character knows it.
- Examples: using stream/Discord chat to locate enemies, knowing a player's name before being told in-game, corpse-camp knowledge (knowing who killed you from the death screen).
- Metagaming is a bannable offense.

## Fail RP
- **Combat logging:** Disconnecting to avoid death or consequences is prohibited.
- **New Life Rule (NLR):** After character death, you may not seek revenge on your killer or return to the location of your death.
- **Value your life:** Your character would not recklessly charge armed players or zombies. Play realistically.

## Admin Items & Exploits
- Do not request admin-spawned items for personal gain.
- Item duplication exploits are prohibited. Report any found exploits to an admin.
- Admin assistance is for technical issues only, not gameplay advantage.

## Building Rules
- Do not block public roads, bridges, or spawn areas with constructions.
- Griefing (intentionally destroying another player's base without RP justification) is prohibited.
- Report game-breaking structures (lag traps, map-breaking builds) to an admin.

## General Conduct
- Treat all players with basic respect in OOC channels.
- Hate speech, harassment, and discriminatory language will result in a permanent ban.
- Cheating, hacking, or using unauthorized mods for advantage is a permanent ban.
- Report issues to an admin — do not take matters into your own hands.
