SCPSL Role & Class Strategy Guide
Every class, every win condition, every team relationship — searchable and filterable. Includes cuffing rules and the full faction win logic.
Faction Win Conditions
Foundation
MTF/Scientists remain; Scientist escapes exceed Class-D escapes.
Chaos Insurgency
CI/Class-D remain; Class-D escapes exceed Scientist escapes.
SCPs
SCPs alive; total SCP count exceeds total civilian escapes.
Stalemate
Equal escapes on both human sides — round ends with no winner.
Cuffing note: Disarmed players who escape do NOT count toward either team's escape total — they switch factions but the escape credit belongs to neither side.
SCP-049-2 note: Zombies do not count toward the SCP win count.
Starting gear: none
Win Contribution
Escape to boost Chaos win condition
Objective
Escape through the surface via the Light Containment Zone exit. Loot weapons from fallen guards or lockers.
Tactics
Avoid SCPs early. Escape with or without cuffs. If disarmed by MTF, weigh switching factions vs fleeing. Locate keycard items quickly.
Key Interactions
- ✓ Chaos Insurgents (allies)
- ✗ MTF / Guards (enemy)
- ✗ SCPs (enemy)
Starting gear: Level 2 keycard, Medkit
Win Contribution
Escape to boost Foundation win condition
Objective
Escape through the Heavy Containment Zone exit. Avoid Class-D and SCPs; link up with Guards.
Tactics
Move quickly through HCZ to find Guards. Share your keycard to help Guards access doors. If cuffed by Chaos, you will defect — evaluate the risk.
Key Interactions
- ✓ MTF / Guards (allies)
- ✗ Chaos / Class-D (enemy)
- ✗ SCPs (enemy)
Starting gear: Keycard A, Pistol, Radio, Light Armor
Win Contribution
Enables Scientist escapes; extends Foundation lifespan
Objective
Contain SCPs, neutralize Class-D threats, escort Scientists to safety.
Tactics
Prioritize escorting Scientists before engaging Class-D. Cuff Class-D rather than kill when possible — they become Foundation assets. Call MTF via radio when SCPs breach.
Key Interactions
- ✓ MTF / Scientists (allies)
- ✗ Chaos / Class-D (enemy)
- ✗ SCPs (enemy)
Starting gear: Keycard B, Assault Rifle, Radio, Combat Armor
Win Contribution
Core Foundation combat power
Objective
Respawn from surface. Push into facility, eliminate SCPs and Chaos, escort surviving Scientists.
Tactics
Move in fire teams. Clear rooms before advancing. Cuff Class-D for faction conversion. Prioritize SCP engagement over Chaos when SCPs are active.
Key Interactions
- ✓ All MTF tiers (allies)
- ✗ SCPs / Chaos / Class-D (enemy)
Starting gear: Keycard C, Assault Rifle, Radio, Combat Armor
Win Contribution
Command multiplier for Foundation units
Objective
Squad leader role. Direct Privates, coordinate SCP containment, manage cuffed prisoners.
Tactics
Assign Privates to specific zones. Issue cuff orders before kill orders on Class-D. Mark SCP locations on radio for the entire team.
Key Interactions
- ✓ All MTF tiers (allies)
- ✗ SCPs / Chaos / Class-D (enemy)
Starting gear: Keycard C, Specialist Rifle, Radio, Heavy Armor
Win Contribution
SCP elimination secures Foundation win
Objective
Dedicated SCP hunter. Eliminate SCP threats to protect escaping civilians.
Tactics
Target high-HP SCPs with SCP-079 support cut first (blackouts). Use Heavy Armor to survive SCP melee. Coordinate with 079 Breach Scanner for positions.
Key Interactions
- ✓ All MTF tiers (allies)
- ✗ SCPs / Chaos / Class-D (enemy)
Starting gear: Keycard O5, Heavy Rifle, Radio, Heavy Armor
Win Contribution
Unlocks access-gated areas to accelerate Foundation objective
Objective
Highest authority. Access all doors. Coordinate total facility response.
Tactics
Use O5 keycard to open all restricted areas. Distribute keys to squads. Prioritize enabling Scientist escapes over combat if Foundation escape count is low.
Key Interactions
- ✓ All MTF tiers (allies)
- ✗ SCPs / Chaos / Class-D (enemy)
Starting gear: Keycard A, Assault Rifle, Radio, Light Armor
Win Contribution
Enables Class-D escapes; extends Chaos lifespan
Objective
Respawn from surface. Push into facility to eliminate MTF and escort Class-D to the surface.
Tactics
Escort Class-D to exit — their escapes win the round for CI. Avoid unnecessarily engaging SCPs. Cuff Scientists to flip them to your faction.
Key Interactions
- ✓ Class-D (allies)
- ✗ MTF / Guards / Scientists (enemy)
- ~ SCPs (conditional — check server rules)
Varies per SCP entity (no items)
Win Contribution
Surviving SCPs are themselves the win condition
Objective
Kill all humans or ensure SCP alive count exceeds total civilian escapes.
Tactics
Prioritize killing Scientists (removes Foundation escape potential) and Chaos Insurgents (reduces Class-D escort capacity). Use SCP-079 coordination for blackouts and locks.
Key Interactions
- ✓ Allied SCPs
- ✗ All human factions (enemy)
Team Relationship Matrix

|---|---|---|---|
| Foundation | Ally | Enemy | Enemy |
| Chaos / Class-D | Enemy | Ally | Conditional* |
| SCP | Enemy | Conditional* | Ally |
* Conditional = server-rule dependent. Most servers forbid SCP+CI/Class-D teaming. Check your server's rules.
