SOTF Season Planner

The official SOTF Dedicated Server Guide defines discrete enums (Short, Default, Long, Realistic) rather than exact fixed day counts.
All day durations are versioned empirical benchmarks (~3d Short, 5d Default, ~10d Long, ~90d Realistic) and marked as estimates.

Winter Prep
- • Surface rocks and small rocks disappear — gather before Winter starts
- • Lakes freeze over — ice fishing becomes possible
- • Berries and most plants stop spawning
- • Mutant spawns increase significantly
- • Cold + wetness cause severe Stamina reduction
- • Stock 3–5 days of cooked food before Winter hits
- • Craft or find warm clothing to reduce cold penalty
- • Sleep indoors whenever possible to conserve Energy
Spring Prep
- • Most food-abundant season — prioritize gathering
- • Turtles appear on beaches — gather turtle shells
- • Salmon visible in rivers — fish regularly
- • Animals plentiful — hunt and stock up on meat
- • Good time to explore caves (no cold penalty)
- • Replenish any stocks depleted during Winter
Summer Prep
- • Similar abundance to Spring — keep gathering
- • Good conditions for extended base building
- • Stockpile extra food and rope for Autumn prep
- • Explore distant areas while travel conditions are ideal
Autumn Prep
- • Pre-Winter prep window — highest priority season
- • Harvest every berry and plant you can find
- • Gather surface rocks before they disappear in Winter
- • Cook and store as much meat as possible
- • Stock up on cloth for bandages and rope
- • Repair and fortify base before mutants increase
- • Craft warm clothing if not already done
