PyPlanet Quickstart

PyPlanet requires Python 3.6+ and pip. Install it globally or in a virtualenv:

# Install PyPlanet
pip install pyplanet

# Initialize a new project (creates settings/ directory)
python -m pyplanet init_project my_server
cd my_server

# Edit settings/server.py — set host, port (5001), and credentials
# Then start
python -m pyplanet start

The XMLRPC port in settings/server.py must match xmlrpc_port in your server's dedicated_cfg.txt. Use 5001 for both.

Nadeo REST API (Advanced)

For custom integrations beyond XMLRPC, Nadeo provides a REST API at api.trackmania.com and live-services.trackmania.nadeo.live. It requires OAuth2 authentication with your Ubisoft / dedicated server account credentials and returns player stats, map records, club info, and competition data.

The API is typically used for custom leaderboards, Discord bots, and web dashboards — not for real-time server control (use XMLRPC for that).
