Unturned Survival Mechanics Reference
A quick-reference guide for all six survival stats, their drain rates, danger thresholds, and what happens when they hit zero. Use the estimator at the bottom to see how long you have before you die from starvation.
Food
Max 100- Drain: ~2 points per minute (Normal difficulty)
- At 0: Health drains at 1 HP/second
- Skill: Survival (Defense) reduces drain rate
- Restore: Eat food items, cooked meals
Water
Max 100- Drain: ~10% faster than Food (~2.2 pts/min)
- At 0: Health drains at 1 HP/second
- Skill: Survival (Defense) reduces drain rate
- Restore: Water bottles, purified water, rivers
Health
Max 100- Drain: Only when Food OR Water hits 0 (1 HP/sec)
- At 0: You die
- Skill: Vitality (Defense) increases max HP
- Restore: Bandages, first aid kits, medkits
Stamina
Max 100- Drain: Sprinting, swimming, jumping
- At 0: Cannot sprint; movement slowed
- Skills: Cardio (regen), Exercise (max), Parkour (jump)
- Restore: Regenerates automatically when not sprinting
Immunity
Max 100- Drain: Self-sustaining decay below 75%
- At 0: Toxic debuff → continuous health loss
- Skill: Immunity (Defense) slows decay rate
- Restore: Bandages, pills, vitamins, antiseptic
Temperature
Map-dependent- Affects: Cold maps only (e.g. Yukon)
- Low temp: Shivering → stamina reduction
- Skill: Warmblooded (Defense) counters cold
- Restore: Campfire, warm clothing, shelters
