Valheim Crafting Station Unlock Checklist
Track which bosses you've defeated and see every crafting station, forge, and upgrade you've unlocked. Covers all biomes through Ashlands (2024 update). Progress is saved in your browser.
Check off defeated bosses to reveal newly unlocked crafting stations.
Boss Defeats
Hard Antlers → Antler Pickaxe → Copper/Tin mining → Smelter & Forge
Swamp Key → Sunken Crypts → Iron. Confirms Forge tier.
Wishbone for Silver. Enables Iron Cauldron & Forge upgrades.
Dragon Tears → Artisan Table → Blast Furnace, Spinning Wheel, Windmill
Black Metal access. No new stations — confirms Padded/Black Metal tier.
Galdr Table → Eitr crafting, Dvergr equipment, magic weapons
Flametal access → Black Forge → Ashlands weapons & armor
Unlocked Crafting Stations
Core crafting station for basic weapons, tools, and building items. Required by most other stations.
Wood x10
Cook food recipes and brew mead bases. Needs a fire underneath.
Tin x10
Warmth, light, and basic cooking. Required under Cauldron and for comfort bonuses.
Stone x5, Wood x2
Basic item storage. No crafting station required.
Wood x10
Produces honey over time. Honey is a base ingredient in all meads.
Wood x10, Queen Bee x1
Smelt Copper, Tin, Iron, and Silver ore into ingots. Requires Coal as fuel.
Stone x20, Surtling Core x5
Convert Wood into Coal. Coal is required by Smelter, Forge, and many recipes.

Craft and upgrade bronze, iron, silver, and black metal weapons and armor.

Workbench upgrade that enables leather and hide-based recipes at the Workbench.

Cut stone into Stone blocks, Iron stone, and decorative stone building pieces.

Upgraded Cauldron — unlocks higher-tier food recipes and iron-age mead bases. Replaces the basic Cauldron.

Workbench upgrade. Enables Fine Wood recipes and higher item quality at the Workbench.

Forge upgrade — increases Forge level for higher-quality iron-tier crafting.

Convert Flax into Linen Thread, used for Padded armor — the final pre-Mistlands armor tier.

Grind Barley into Barley Flour, required for high-tier foods like Bread and Lox Meat Pie.

Mistlands crafting station — craft magic staves, eitr-infused equipment, and Dvergr-tier weapons and armor.
Black Metal x10, Yggdrasil Wood x20, Refined Eitr x5
Ashlands crafting station — craft Flametal weapons, armor, and the highest-tier equipment in the game.
