Configuring Your ICARUS Dedicated Server (ServerSettings.ini)

Configuring Your ICARUS Dedicated Server
The primary configuration file for an ICARUS dedicated server is ServerSettings.ini. This file controls player limits, passwords, prospect loading, and server behavior.
File Location
Icarus\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\ServerSettings.ini
If this file does not exist, start the server once and it will be generated automatically with default values.
Setting Your Server Name
The server name is not set in ServerSettings.ini. Instead, it is passed as a launch parameter:
wine64 IcarusServer-Win64-Shipping.exe -SteamServerName="My ICARUS Server" -log
Replace My ICARUS Server with your desired server name. This is the name that will appear in the Steam server browser.

Disabling Auto-Shutdown
By default, ShutdownIfNotJoinedFor=300 causes the server to shut down 5 minutes after the last player leaves. Most server admins change this to 0:

Loading a Prospect on Start
To have the server automatically load a specific prospect when it starts, use one of the following settings:
# Resume an existing prospect
ResumeProspect=MyProspectName
# Load a specific prospect
LoadProspect=MyProspectName
# Create a new prospect and load it
CreateProspect=MyProspectName
Prospect names are case-sensitive. The name must exactly match the prospect save file name.
Applying Changes
After editing ServerSettings.ini, restart the server for changes to take effect.
