Palworld Server Backups

Palworld servers back up automatically once per day. Download a manual backup as a .zip from the control panel, create on-demand backups via the Backups tab, and restore by replacing the Saved directory.

Automatic Backups

Your Palworld server is backed up automatically once per day. These backups are managed by the hosting infrastructure — no setup required.

Download a Manual Backup

Grab a local copy of your server data anytime through your AMP or WISP panel:

In AMP: Go to File Manager, navigate to the Saved/ directory, select it, and use the download option to pull it as an archive to your machine.

In WISP: Go to your server → File Manager → navigate to Saved/ → select the folder → Download as archive.

The download includes your world save, player data, and config files — everything needed to restore.

Good habit: Pull a manual backup before any significant change: installing mods, updating the server, tweaking world settings, or uploading a new save.

On-Demand Backups

Rather than waiting for the daily automatic backup, trigger one immediately:

In your AMP or WISP panel, go to the Backups tab and click Create Backup. The snapshot is stored server-side and available to restore from the same tab.

Restoring a Backup

Restore from the Backups Tab

  1. Go to the Backups tab in your panel
  2. Find the backup you want
  3. Click Restore — the server stops, the data is rolled back, and it restarts automatically

Restore from a Local Download

If you downloaded a backup and need to restore it manually:

  1. Stop the server from your panel
  2. Open File Manager
  3. Delete (or rename) the current Saved/ directory
  4. Upload your backup's Saved/ folder contents via File Manager or SFTP
  5. Start the server

What the Backup Contains

The Saved/ directory includes:

Path Contents
Saved/SaveGames/ World save data and all player .sav files
Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ Server configuration files (PalWorldSettings.ini)
