Channel Names to Create
In your TeamSpeak 3 client, create each of these as a top-level channel, in this exact order. Use these as the Channel Name.
TeamSpeak spacer syntax, explained
TeamSpeak 3 has five kinds of "channels" that go in the top level of your server list:
| Type | Channel name | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | Lobby | Joinable voice channel |
| Left-aligned | [lspacer1]Rules | Unjoinable divider, left-aligned |
| Centered | [cspacer2]Main Channels | Unjoinable divider, centered |
| Right-aligned | [rspacer3]Staff Only | Unjoinable divider, right-aligned |
| Fill line | [*spacer4]─ | Unjoinable — repeats the character across the whole row |
The number rules:
- Every spacer needs a unique number (
spacer1,spacer2, etc.). This tool auto-numbers them for you. - Spacers only work as top-level channels. If you nest them under another channel, TS3 will show them as regular (joinable) channels with the literal
[spacer1]Nametext. - Two spacers can't share the same number or they'll conflict and render weird.
Good characters to use in fill lines:
Simple: - _ . Unicode dividers: ─ ═ ▬ ━ • ✦
Icons in channel names: TS3 lets you paste Unicode emoji or symbols directly into channel names. For example: 🎮 Games, 🎵 Music, ⚙ Settings. Mix these with dividers for a Discord-ish look.
How to use this in TeamSpeak 3
- Design your layout in the editor above
- Copy the list of channel names from the Channel Names to Create box
- In your TeamSpeak 3 client, connect to your server as a Server Admin (you need the admin privilege key — see our privilege key guide)
- Right-click the server name at the top of the channel tree → Create Channel
- Paste the first channel name exactly as shown, including the
[cspacer1]/[*spacer1]prefix - Set the channel type to Permanent (so it persists) and position it under the server (not inside another channel)
- Repeat for each line, in order
Pro tip: You can also use yats, sinusbot, or a ServerQuery script to batch-create channels from the list above. Manual is fine for <30 channels.
