What Is MatchZy?
MatchZy (developed by shobhit-pathak) is the premier CounterStrikeSharp plugin that converts your CS2 dedicated server into an automated practice, scrim, and tournament environment. It provides:
- Practice Mode — infinite grenades with visual trajectory lines, godmode, bot spawning/positioning, and throw replay.
- Scrim & Match Mode — automated knife rounds, team side selection, pause/unpause handling, tactical timeouts, and MR12 competitive regulation.
- Backup & Playout Logic — round-by-round state restoration (
.stop) and the ability to force all 24 rounds (.playout).
Step 1: Install MatchZy in DustBowl Warden
MatchZy requires MetaMod:Source and CounterStrikeSharp to be running on your server. If you have not set these up yet, see our CS2 Plugins Guide.
- Stop your server from the DustBowl Warden Console.
- Download the latest release of MatchZy from its official GitHub repository.
- Open the DustBowl Warden File Manager (or connect via SFTP on port
2022). - Navigate to:
game/csgo/addons/counterstrikesharp/plugins/ - Upload and extract the
MatchZy/folder directly intoplugins/. - Start your server from the Warden Dashboard and check the live console for
[MatchZy] loaded successfully.
Step 2: Practice Mode Commands
Once MatchZy is loaded, join your server and type the following command in in-game chat or the developer console:
.prac
MatchZy immediately executes the practice configuration, enabling infinite ammo, grenade trails, and godmode.

Tip
You can also generate standalone practice config files using our free CS2 Practice Config Generator Tool to customize utility binds and buy conditions without plugins.
Step 3: Scrim and Tournament Mode
To run an organized 5v5 competitive scrim:
- Have all 10 players join the server.
- An authorized match admin or team captain types:
.setup - Players type
.readyin chat. Once all 10 players are ready, MatchZy starts an automated knife round to determine starting sides. - The winning captain selects their team's starting side by typing
.stayor.switch. - The match goes live under official MR12 competitive settings (
mp_maxrounds 24).

Step 4: Standalone Practice Config (Without Plugins)
If you run a pure vanilla server without MetaMod or CounterStrikeSharp, you can run practice routines by uploading a custom config:
- Open DustBowl Warden File Manager and navigate to
game/csgo/cfg/. - Create or upload
prac.cfgcontaining your preferred cvars (sv_cheats 1,mp_limitteams 0,sv_infinite_ammo 1). - In the Warden Console or in-game developer console, type:
