Complete reference for Necesse's server.cfg, including every setting, its default value, and notes on how launch arguments interact with the config file.

NecesseConfigurationserver.cfgSettings

Config File Location

Platform Path
Windows C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Necesse\cfg\server.cfg
Linux ~/.config/Necesse/cfg/server.cfg

The file is created automatically on first server startup.

Important: Config Is Overwritten on Each Start

server.cfg is overwritten every time the server starts, based on the launch arguments passed at startup. Editing the file manually will have no effect if the server is then restarted with conflicting arguments.

For persistent configuration, use launch arguments rather than editing the file directly. The config file is most useful as a reference to verify what values were applied on the last start.
